Mobility21 UTC researcher Jon Peha gave a presentation about how to meet the spectrum needs of connected and autonomous vehicles at the 19th IEEE International Conference on Wireless and Mobile Computing, Networking and Communications (WiMob).  He described a novel approach in which connected vehicles supplement their current spectrum allocation with spectrum that is shared with other kinds of devices.  This was part of a session on vehicular networks for risk reduction and safety-related systems.
