Car manufacturer Volvo is launching a shared mobility business based around Sweden’s existing car-sharing company Sunfleet, which has around 50,000 subscribers in over 50 cities. Sunfleet will form the core of the new car-sharing business, but it will be expanded into new global markets to provide a new range of mobility services that meet changing consumer expectations around how they own and engage with cars. Volvo aims to complement traditional car ownership models with a range of on-demand mobility solutions providing users with flexibility, ease of use, and personalization.
