Volkswagen recalls electric vehicles

VW announced that it was recalling all electric versions of the VW Golf after the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) found a flaw in the vehicle’s battery software that can make them stall. VW states that the flaw is caused by “oversensitive diagnostics for the high-voltage battery management system (that) may falsely detect an electrical surge resulting in the vehicle’s electric drive motor shutting down unexpectedly.”
