Transit Startup Bridj Shuts Down, Cites Collapse of ‘Major Car Company’ Deal

Bridj, the provider of an on-demand bus and shuttle system, is “winding down” its operations after a strategic deal with a major car company fell through, according to a blog post from company founder Matt George. Bridj had raised more than $6 million from investors including NextView Ventures and Atlas Venture and was most recently valued at about $8.5 million in 2015.
