Tesla Autopilot to Evolve to Completely Self-Driving in 3 to 6 Months

Tesla’s Autopilot software will transition from being an “Enhanced Autopilot” system to completely self-driving in three to six months. Earlier this month, Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced that the automaker’s “Enhanced Autopilot” technology would be offered on all of its vehicles that are equipped with “Hardware 2.0.” The update, which was originally launched last December, includes updates to the vehicles’ ultrasonic sensors, cameras, and radar system. Besides providing a timeline for when the Tesla’s vehicles will be able to drive themselves, Musk didn’t provide any more information behind the technology’s transition.
