Technology leaders form Intelligent Car Coalition

he Coalition will be a non-profit, consumer advocacy and education organization, and its founding members include: the Association for Competitive Technology (ACT), AT&T, Hughes Telematics (a Verizon Company), Intel, the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) and Verizon. The Coalition will engage federal policymakers in discussions about the promise of intelligent vehicle technologies and share its thoughts on important societal issues like distracted driving, as well as other complex policy issues that may emerge, such as data privacy and security, liability, research and development, and public-private partnerships.
