Successive forms of car-sharing approaches reflect shifts in uptake and popularity, according to ABI Research. The study showed three types of sharing: Car Sharing 1.0, Street Rental Service Cars; Car Sharing 2.0, Ride Sharing Taxi Service and Carpooling; and Car Sharing 3.0, Robotic Car Service.
