Role at Traffic21:  Mobility21’s Women in Transportation Robotics Institute Summer Scholars (RISS) intern

What is The RISS program? An eleven-week research program that allows undergraduate students to work on cutting-edge robotics projects, driving innovation with real-world impacts. RISS is one of the top robotics research programs for undergraduates in the world.

Over the summer of 2017, she worked along side T-SET UTC researcher Christoph Mertz, her mentor, to assemble all the hardware and software components of a deep learning system and investigate a robust way to model tra?c sign invariances due to occlusion events. Stephanie is a student at the University of Maryland, studying Computer Science and Psychology.  Read more about Stephanie’s story.
