RadSee Technologies Ltd has announced availability of what it claims is the first 4D imaging radar for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous vehicles.
The radar scales to accommodate different autonomy levels and can be integrated into a host of current and future automotive vehicles as well as current ADAS design cycles.
The 4D imaging radar is a processor-agnostic, automotive-grade commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) implementation, which has a 400 meter range, an angular resolution of 0.25°, static and dynamic object detection in a 120° field of view and flexibility to fit into existing automotive systems…
Radar is a proven technology that can work under any conditions using radio frequency transmitters and receivers to accurately determine the shape, size and movement of all objects in view regardless of environmental conditions. RadSee said this increases the safety features than just automotive cameras alone when driving conditions are dark or glaringly bright and is not as expensive as lidar.
