Pittsburgh Driverless Tech Company Part of Intel/BMW Partnership

Delphi, the company that in 2015 acquired a Pittsburgh-based autonomous vehicle firm is now part of a partnership between BMW Group, Intel and Mobileye to build a new self-driving vehicle system. Delphi, which is based in the United Kingdom, joined the partnership to have a working, scalable autonomous vehicle system by 2021. Delphi in August 2015 acquired Ottomatika, a spinoff from Carnegie Mellon University that creates software for autonomous vehicles.
