Pittsburgh Area JARC and New Freedoms Programs Are Open for Grant Proposals

ATWIC ANNOUNCES FY2012 Application & Funding Round for the Federal Transit Administration’s Job Access and Reverse Commute & New Freedom Grant Programs. The Accessible Transportation and Workforce Interagency Cooperative (ATWIC) is responsible for facilitating and managing the Job Access and Reverse Commute/New Freedom application process for the Pittsburgh Urbanized Area. In the coming fiscal year beginning July 1, 2011, approximately $4 million in Federal, state, and carry-over funds will be available for JARC and NF projects aimed at alleviating access issues for our region’s transportation-disadvantaged populations.
