PennDOT survey seeks feedback on use of automated vehicles

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation is seeking feedback from Pennsylvanians regarding their perceptions and knowledge of automated vehicles.

“Automated vehicle technology is rapidly advancing, and many features are already available in newer vehicles,” said PennDOT Secretary Yassmin Gramian. “It is important that the department understands how Pennsylvanians feel about this technology, to help us shape our education and communication focus going forward.”

Officials say PennDOT’s Highly Automated Vehicle (HAV) Advisory Committee is preparing for the transition of using this type of technology and wants to gauge residents’ understanding, level of comfort and expectations.

PennDOT says the survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete and is available on their website.
