Mercedes-Benz is going to launch fully self-driving cars in three years

The firm, through its parent company Daimler, has signed a deal with Bosch to bring a driver-free taxi service to the roads in three years. The two firms today announced they will create a “fully automated, driverless system” together.

“The two companies have now agreed to set up a development alliance that aims to make a system for fully automated (SAE-Level 4) and driverless (SAE-Level 5) vehicles a reality on city streets by the start of the next decade,” the companies said in a statement.
