The SharedStreets data platform, which creates a consistent way for cities to manage street information, operates in 30 cities globally.
Ford will offer a a standard for real-time curb demand and availability, Uber will offer vehicle driving speed data and both Lyft and Uber will provide a framework for sharing curbside pick-up and drop-off counts, according to the release.
SharedStreets aims to assist private companies in collaborating with cities to analyze data to improve mobility and transportation. The participating companies will provide data sets to help city governments reduce traffic congestion and emissions, improve efficiency of streets and prevent traffic accidents, said the release.
