Lyft, NuTonomy to Pilot Self-driving Taxis in Boston

While the initial number of test cars wasn’t disclosed, “The goal is to end up with many thousands of NuTonomy vehicles on the Lyft platform,” said Karl Iagnemma, NuTonomy CEO and co-founder, in a conference call with reporters.  “By combining forces, we’re building the best passenger experience for an autonomous ride,” said Logan Green, Lyft CEO and co-founder, in the conference call. He predicted that ride hailing will account for more than 80 percent of vehicle miles traveled in a couple of decades, compared with less than 1 percent today.
