India: On-demand Service Startup RoadZen Acquires AXA Assistance

RoadZen was started in 2015 in the US by Carnegie Mellon University alumnus Rohan Malhotra. He shifted the operations and the team to India later. With their app StrandD, the company provides services to any roadside emergency. If the users’ mobile data is not working, they can seek help by calling a number or through SMS also. Currently, the app claims 50,000 downloads.

Roadzen has acquired AXA Assistance Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Belgium firm Inter Partner Assistance SA.
