Gridwise, a Pittsburgh-based company aimed at promoting efficiency and increasing earnings among rideshare drivers, will expand to at least the top 30 major U.S. cities in 2019, according to Ryan Green, CEO and co-founder of Gridwise.
During his time in the military, Green started driving for Uber part time. When he moved to Pittsburgh after being discharged and started a job at PNC, he started using both Uber and Lyft ridesharing services often. Through these experiences, Green said he always heard the same feedback. Drivers were looking for a way to make their time driving more efficient and productive…
So far, Gridwise has helped more than 20,000 rideshare drivers improve their earnings by an average of 39 percent since they started using the app, said Green. That information comes from self-reported earning statements from the drivers, but Green said Gridwise is working to automate that data collection.
On average, about 70 percent of rideshare drivers in Pittsburgh use Gridwise, said Green.
