GDOT to host Smart Vehicle Tech Challenge

November 7-11, the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) will host a Smart Vehicle Tech Challenge at Digital Ignition.

Companies from around the world have been invited to translate GDOT traffic light data into safety applications that can be used to support autonomous vehicles. The winning team will receive $75,000 to further develop the application, while working alongside GDOT’s technology and transportation leadership team…

The event will kick off with a public networking event featuring speakers from the automotive industry, as well as a mobility marketplace showcasing hardware and software companies.

A three-day tech challenge and a breakfast announcing the winner will follow. A maximum of 15 IT companies will be selected to participate in the challenge.
