Metro21: Smart Cities Institute Launch

March 2 @ 12:00 pm - 1:20 pm

Carnegie Mellon University is at the forefront of Smart Cities research, development, and deployment, and at the center of this effort is Metro21, the university’s smart cities initiative. To spark bigger and better projects that will continue to improve quality of life in metropolitan regions, Metro21 will enter a new phase as we launch the Metro21 Smart Cities Institute, a campus-wide academic center that will address the complex and novel challenges facing metro areas in the 21st century, and build on the exciting momentum and work that has already come out of Metro21. This launch event will feature impactful presentations and panel discussions centered on Metro21’s potential and plans for the future. Join colleagues from across campus—including Traffic21 and the T-SET and Mobility21 University Transportation Centers—as well as leadership from our partners in government, industry, and academia as we look ahead to the next generation of smart cities!
