Downtown Partnership announces plan to ease congestion in Golden Triangle

The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership announced Monday that it would develop a mobility plan that would make it easier to navigate around the city’s downtown area.

The Mobility Plan, funded through a $1 million grant from the Henry L. Hillman Foundation, seeks to improve the experience of traveling through downtown, especially during heavy travel times…

The plan will inform the steps taken by the city to address safety, accessibility, transit, parking and congestion, according to Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership President and CEO Jeremy Waldrup. The plan will be guided by the Downtown Partnership, the City of Pittsburgh’s Departments of Mobility and Infrastructure and City Planning, the Port Authority of Allegheny County, and the Southwest Pennsylvania Commission.
